LANSING (WKZO) -- The state of Michigan awards over two-million dollars for HIV prevention services throughout the state.
The Michigan Department of Community Health's HIV/AIDS Prevention and Intervention Section made the announcement this week. Sixteen community-based and non-governmental organizations will receive the funding through 2016.
The MDCH says the aim of the funding is to reach those at greatest risk for acquiring or transmitting the virus that causes AIDS.
