UNDATED (WKZO) -- Snow is coming this weekend into early next week, riding on a series of Alberta clippers, that will not only carry their own snow, but click on the Lake Effect snow machine as well.
In the wake of a series of Chain reaction collisions on Midwest highways, law-enforcement officials are offering tips for drivers who encounter snow squalls or whiteouts.
Officials say drivers should not hit their brakes but slow down gradually, and keep as much distance between you and the vehicles in front of you. They also say it is not a good idea to pull off to the side of the road as that could lead to an accident.
They say if you have the opportunity to pull off the highway at an intersection or ramp and wait for the white-out to subside, take it.
Motorists are also advised to stay alert and avoid distractions like a cellphone.
