LANSING (WKZO) -- The AFL-CIO is putting a target on Michigan Governor Rick Snyder and five other Republican governors in the 2014 election.

The union's Political Director Michael Podhorzer  told the audience at a breakfast in Washington, D.C. Tuesday the organization will go after lawmakers who battled organized labor.  The union cites right to work laws, collective bargaining and voting rights as issues very important to their membership.

Michigan AFL-CIO spokeswoman Sara Wallenfang says the union is upset about Snyder's decision to sign a modified law requiring voters to affirm they are a legal citizen of the U.S. after the governor opposed the original measure.
