Napoleon and Duggan expected to square off in November for the Detroit mayor's job

DETROIT, MI (WTVB) - It may take days to get a final vote count, but several news organizations in Detroit are projecting that Wayne County Sheriff Benny Napoleon will square off in the Mayor’s race with write-in candidate Mike Duggan in November. Duggan says he had poll watchers watching people fill out their ballots.

Napoleon told his volunteers that they still have a lot of work to do. There were nearly twice as many write-ins cast as Napoleon’s total.

Canvassers may take days to make sure that the write-ins were done properly, and that Duggan and not the other write-in candidate, a barber named Mike Dugeon should get the votes.  Spelling counts in this case.
