DETROIT (WKZO) -- The top executives of General Motors and Ally Financial aren't going to be getting raises any time soon.

"Bloomberg News" reports the salaries of the executives, including GM CEO Dan Akerson, have been frozen.  The government also rejected the request by GM to give 12-percent raises to the top brass.

The Treasury Department gets final say in executive compensation for GM and Ally due to the 2009 government bailout.
