More star power has been added to the lineup for the MusiCares MAP Fund Benefit Concert in Los Angeles.
Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington , who will be honored at the event with the Stevie Ray Vaughan Award for his commitment to helping addicts with their recovery process, has now signed on perform at the concert. In addition, ex- Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash will also take the stage during the event.
Fellow Linkin Park band mate Mike Shinoda will present Bennington with his award, while Red Hot Chili Peppers singer Anthony Kiedis will present legendary skateboarder, surfer and musician Tony Alva with the From the Heart Award. Alva and his band Chicken Noodle Project have also been added to the lineup of performers for the concert.
Other noted celebrities who will be on hand at the concert include Beastie Boys DJ Mix Master Mike and comedian and current Dancing with the Stars contestant Andy Dick .
The MusiCares MAP Fund Benefit Concert will take place at the Club Nokia on May 30. The MusiCares MAP Fund provides members of the music community access to addiction recovery resources, including emergency financial assistance for basic living expenses and medical expenses.
