Mumford & Sons , Nine Inch Nails and Phoenix are among the artists that will be taking the stage at this year’s Lollapalooza festival, which will be held August 2-4 in Grant Park in Chicago, IL. Also included as a headliner on the bill is The Cure , who will make their very first appearance at the fest this year.

"The first time I ran into [frontman] Robert Smith of The Cure was 1997 in New York City," said festival founder and Jane's Addiction singer Perry Farrell in a statement. "We were both going into the same club; and it was Halloween. I was dressed as myself and so was he. I am so happy The Cure have finally arrived at Lolla in Chicago!"

Other bands set to perform at the event include The Killers , The Postal Service , Vampire Weekend , Queens of the Stone Age , The Lumineers , and The National .

The Lollapalooza lineup announcement comes a week earlier than expected, which may due to the fact that one of the festival’s official posters was leaked online last Wednesday night by a party as yet unknown.

While three-day passes for Lollapalooza are sold out, a limited number of single day passes will be available on Wednesday at 10 a.m. CT at Lollapalooza.com .
