Police are still wondering why a pickup truck crossed the media on US127 near Round Lake Road on Tuesday afternoon and crashed head on into a van killing three people. The weather was good and there was no obvious sign of mechanical failure, according to DeWitt Township Police Chief Brian Russell. The dead are a man and woman from Elsie and a 68-year-old man from Lansing.
