The recent deaths of two Michiganders brings the total deaths from the West Nile Virus in the state to eight. The Michigan Department of Community Health says the outbreak of the mosquito borne illness in Michigan reflects a national surge.  Health officials say mosquitos have stayed active in the warm September weather increasing the number of cases reported.
