LANSING (WKZO) -- State health officials are urging Michigan residents to get vaccinated for the whooping cough and the flu.
Officials held a news conference this morning to stress the need for vaccinations, especially for those most vulnerable to illness. Cases of whooping cough are on the rise in Michigan, according to one group that monitors the number of cases nationwide.
The Michigan Department of Community Health has noted a rise in the cases of the flu. So far this year they have documented a dozen cases statewide.
