KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- They are calling it the worst storm in modern history, with over 48 dead and rising, over 8-million without power and as much as 50-billion dollars in damage and lost income. And it had such a friendly name....”Sandy”.
At least ten more Red Cross volunteers from West Michigan are being dispatched to the East Coast to help millions of Americans devastated by Hurricane Sandy to get back on their feet.
It impacted states from the Carolinas to the south, to Maine to the north and as far west as Michigan, where thousands in Southeast Michigan remain without power this morning.
The first wave of Red Cross Volunteers from West Michigan are reportedly still working their way to the most devastated areas.
