Unemployment figures are headed in the right direction here in Michigan. Locally, in Lansing the jobless rate fell a full percentage point last month to 6.2 percent. Jobs at schools, colleges and universities helped boost those job levels. Now seasonal hiring for the holiday season is expected to help even more.
