It appears that stalking your favorite band can sometimes be a good thing. The Killers drummer Ronnie Vannucci says that while the band was recording their latest album, Battle Born, the guys decided to embrace a die-hard fan who was lurking around the parking lot of their studio.
“We’re all in the control room and we saw this person looking at all of our cars,” Vannucci tells ABC News Radio. “So I went out and it was this Asian gentleman from China. [He was] such a big fan of the band, [he] had this backpack full of all these rare things we’ve put out over the years and so we brought him in the studio and we played some stuff for him and…he had the time of his life.”
Vannucci adds that he’s always happy to meet a fan that appreciates The Killers’ music. “[It’s great] anytime somebody comes up to you and says ‘You helped me,’" he notes. “A compliment like that when somebody looks at you in the eye and says ‘Thank you for writing that song’, that’s really cool to me. It’s like a vitamin.”
The Killers are currently on tour overseas, but they’ll return to kick off a North American tour on November 29 at the 1st Bank Center in Broomfield, CO.
