EAST LANSING (WKZO) -- Less than two weeks before he is due to face reelection, State Rep. Bob Genetski faced a judge for sentencing on a drunk driving conviction. He was arrested the night of the State of the State address after a Capitol Reception.
For the first time the East Lansing court saw a remorseful and contrite Genetski who was given credit for already completing two programs that convicted drunk drivers are usually assigned to experience.
The second term republican was given 40-hours of community service and an 11-hundred dollar fine. His driver’s license will remain restricted to work related trips after it was initially revoked when he refused to take a breathalyzer test.
