ALLEN PARK (WKZO) -- Governor Rick Snyder has sent a letter to the leaders of Allen Park stating he believes an emergency manager should be overseeing the city's financial problems.
The governor said he made the decision after reading a report from the Allen Park Financial Review Team. The group determined there was not a plan in place to help the city solve a deep deficit including two million dollars in annual payments on bonds for a movie studio that closed down.
State Treasurer Andy Dillon and other officials will be meeting today and may appoint an emergency manager.
