Sam Lutfi , purported ex-manager of Britney Spears , claims he’s developing a new project with Hole frontwoman Courtney Love about her late husband, Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain , which could wind up on Broadway.
The New York Daily News is reporting that Lutfi let the news slip while he was testifying in a Los Angeles courtroom as part of a lawsuit against Spears and her parents for alleged breach of contract, libel and millions in unpaid management fees. “[Courtney Love and I] are currently working on a possible motion picture or Broadway musical based on the Nirvana catalogue, based on her life and Kurt Cobain’s,” says Lutfi.
While Love’s rep had no comment on the alleged project with Lutfi, a source tells the newspaper that Love has been “talking about doing a movie or play about her life with Kurt [Cobain] for a long time. So far, nothing has materialized from it.”
