Corn and soybean yields across Ingham and Eaton Counties are so far averaging better than expected following a summer of dry and hot growing conditions. A senior extension editor at Michigan State University are still down anywhere from 20 to 25 percent but that is better than expected. Counties north, like Clinton and Grastiot Counties are doing even better than that.
