Mark Hoppus is looking forward to Blink-182 ’s future without a record label. In an email to MTV News , the bassist declared that the band is excited to explore new opportunities now that they’ve ended their contract with Interscope Records.
"The future's a wide-open door," wrote Hoppus. "We're lucky to be in a position where, after 20 years in our band, we can be independent and open to all options. I feel like our band is in the best place it's been in a long time. “
Hoppus adds that the band is actively working on new music for their next album and will "begin recording after our tour of Australia in February."
