The Tigers and Giants take to the field in San Francisco for Game One of the World Series tonight.  Justin Verlander will start for Detroit, while San Francisco counters with Barry Zito in the first postseason meeting between the two teams.  The Tigers swept the Yankees in the American League Championship Series and had to wait for their opponent as the Giants came back from a 3-games-to-1 deficit to beat the St. Louis Cardinals to capture the National League pennant on Monday night.
