MEMPHIS (WKZO) -- FedEx expects to be busier than ever this holiday season

The Memphis-based delivery company is forecasting a 13-percent increase in shipments.  That would be a record 280-million packages, mainly because of a jump in online spending.

FedEx plans to hire 20-thousand seasonal workers to help with the holiday workload.  That's about the same number it hired last year to beef up its 300-thousand member permanent workforce worldwide.
