LANSING (WKZO) -- The Department of Natural Resources announces free hunting and fishing licenses will be available for disabled vets next year. A new bill signed into law by Governor Rick Snyder this week will allow disabled veterans in the state to get a non-lottery hunting or fishing license for free at the start of the next license year, which is March 1st, 2013. Denise Gruben, manager of licensing and reservations for the DNR, says "providing free licenses for disabled vets is just a small token of our deep gratitude for their sacrifice for all of us."
