The Detroit Tigers are heading to the World Series.  The Tigers beat the New York Yankees 8-1 to sweep the American League Championship Series in four games.  Jhonny Peralta homered twice and Miguel Cabrera and Austin Jackson also went deep for Detroit, which outhit the Yankees 16-to-2.  Max Scherzer struck out ten over five-and-two-thirds innings of one-run ball for the win.
