DETROIT (WKZO) -- Bob Bashara's guilty plea could lead to a plea deal.

On Thursday, Bashara pleaded guilty to trying to hire a hit-man to kill handyman Joe Gentz, who is accused of murdering his wife, Jane Bashara.  Legal experts say that Bashara's admission could be the first step toward a plea deal in connection with the murder of his wife.

Prosecutors have named him as a suspect in his wife's murder, however he hasn't been charged.
