This obviously was a bad idea. Authorities say a blaze that displaced dozens of people from a southwest Michigan apartment complex was sparked by a resident trying to cook a squirrel with a propane torch. The fire in Ottawa County earlier this week started when a man was using a propane torch on a third floor balcony of an apartment building when he set it ablaze. The local fire chief says eight apartments were destroyed and others damaged.
