DETROIT (WTVB) - Detroit has lost another police chief to a sex scandal. Mayor Dave Bing held a news conference Monday to announce that Chief Ralph Godbee is gone. Interim Chief Chester Logan will be in charge until a new top cop is named. The mayor says the selection process for a new chief will begin today and under the city charter an agency will be hired to conduct a search.
Godbee was accused of having a sexual relationship with Internal Affairs Officer Angelica Robinson. She came forward about their relationship after Godbee took another woman with him to a police chief's conference in San Diego last week.
