KALAMAZOO (WTVB) - The United States Supreme Court has opened their fall session. Despite a couple of appointees by Barack Obama, it still leans to the right and it appears they intend to settle some issues before that changes.   Western Michigan University Professor Mark Hurwitz says they severely limited Affirmative Action programs ten years ago with a ruling against the University of Michigan.  They may seek now to abolish it.

Gay marriage and voting rights could be two other liberal causes headed for court action.

Dr. Hurwitz says Chief Justice John Roberts swing to the left in Obamacare may signal a change in attitude.
