BATTLE CREEK (WKZO) -- The Michigan Democratic Party is reportedly putting up cash, about half-a-million dollars to try and defeat Jase Bolger at the polls next month.MIRS news reports that the Speaker appears to be vulnerable after the election rigging scandal that has become known as “Bolgergate”.
They are buying ads on cable TV in Bolger’s district, which includes parts of Calhoun and Kalamazoo Counties.
The Ad doesn’t mention Democratic challenger Bill Farmer.
In Kent County, the Republican Party left Roy Schmidt off a flyer promoting all of their candidates. Schmidt is the candidate that Bolger was working with to rig his primary.
Bolger Spokesman Ari Adler says its just democrats seizing on the negative because they have nothing positive to offer.
