DETROIT (WKZO) -- The preliminary exam for the man accused of murdering Grosse Pointe's Jane Bashara has been waived.

Joe Gentz, a former handyman for Bashara's husband Robert Bashara, is charged with killing Jane Bashara last January.  He has said that he was hired by Robert Bashara to kill Jane.

Robert Bashara is currently jailed on charges of solicitation of murder, accused of trying to hire a hit man to kill Gentz.
