CANTON (WKZO) -- A former Canton Township businessman is accused of fraud half-way around the world.

47-year-old Abdulla al-Jufairi is accused of causing more than 100-million dollars in losses on failed business deals in Qatar.  Prior to the Qatar deals, al-Jufairi fled the United States before he could be charged in connection with a Small Business Association loan scandal that cost taxpayers roughly 26-million dollars.

According to authorities, al-Jufairi's been abroad since 2006 and has left a trail of unpaid debts and upset investors.
