UNDATED (WKZO) -- Bargain hunters are braving snow and cold as they make the rounds on Black Friday in Michigan. Thanksgiving featured highs in the 60’s and within 12-hours, the National Weather Service says a cold front packing gusty winds and light snow moved through the area.
Forecasters expect blustery conditions with snow showers likely tonight and tomorrow. Daytime highs will be in the low 30s.
Retailers say beginning the Black Friday shopping in waves, with some stores starting thanksgiving evening and others at midnight spread out the traffic, kept the congestion down and made for a generally calmer start to the holiday shopping season.
They are hoping the rest of the season goes as well.
