Thousands of holiday fun seekers are expected to flock to downtown Lansing tonight for Silver Bells in the City. The event kicks off with the electric light parade at 6 p.m. lighting of the tree around 7:20. Fireworks at the Capital by 7:30. Plenty of live performances and food will be available. There are street closures because of Silver Bells. Many downtown streets will be closed off by afternoon.
