LANSING (WKZO) -- Governor Snyder says that he and his wife extend their condolences to Governor Milliken and son Bill Junior on this morning's passing of former first lady Helen Milliken.  The Governor says that Milliken's contributions to the state are countless.

As a champion of women's issues, patron of the arts and dedicated environmentalist, he says, "Mrs. Milliken lent her strong voice to causes that enrich our state to this day. Long after Governor Bill Milliken left office, she remained a driving force for the betterment of Michigan, because she loved this state and believed in its future."
