Mumford & Sons, Dave Mathews Band, Black Keys Rack Up New Gold and Platinum Certifications

The Recording Industry Association of America has handed out a few album and single certifications for gold and platinum record.

Mumford & Sons ' sophomore album, Babel , and Dave Matthews Band ’s latest release, Away from the World , were both awarded gold certifications , signifying sales of 500,000 copies since the albums were released in September.  In addition, The Black Keys scored their second platinum album award for selling one million copies for their latest release, El Camino .

On the singles side, Mumford & Sons received their first double-platinum download certification for “Little Lion Man,” from their 2009 debut album Sign No More , racking up more than two million downloads sold in the U.S.  The band also earned their third gold single award for their recent hit, “I Will Wait,” from Babel .  In addition, gold certification was awarded to Imagine Dragons for their breakout single, “It’s Time,” from their recently-released debut album, Night Visions .
