Michigan remains a blue state when it comes to presidential politics.  President Obama defeated native son Mitt Romney last night in winning a second term.  Obama also carried Michigan four years ago when he beat John McCain.  Romney's opposition to the bailouts of Chrysler and General Motors were cited as key reasons he lost the state where his father served as governor.
