SOUTHFIELD (WKZO) -- An elderly man who was filling out an absentee ballot Monday is recovering after he collapsed and had to be revived.
The man and his wife were in the Southfield Township offices on 13 Mile Road when he became unresponsive, and Ty Houston, a registered nurse who was also voting, began CPR. Houston says the man had no heartbeat and wasn't breathing, but after a few minutes of CPR, he woke up and asked his wife if he had finished voting.
The man, who did cast his ballot, was then taken to the hospital.
