If this whole music thing doesn't work out for Coldplay 's Will Champion , he may be able to fall back on acting.  The drummer has just agreed to take a role in the HBO hit series Game of Thrones, according to Entertainment Weekly . There aren't any big spoilers about Champion's role, but EW did say that he'd play a drummer. 

Will Champion isn't the only rock star tapped to join Thrones ; Snow Patrol lead singer Gary Lightbody will also make a cameo appearance in the upcoming third season of the show, which premieres on March 31.
