LANSING (WKZO) -- The number of Michigan residents who have fallen ill in a multi-state outbreak of fungal meningitis is now up to 112 with seven deaths.

The state leads the nation in infections linked to tainted steroids.  The shots were used to treat back pain.

Tennessee has the highest number of deaths at 12, and the outbreak has claimed 29 lives across the country.
