DETROIT (WKZO) -- U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow maintains a strong lead over Republican rival Pete Hoekstra among likely Michigan voters.  A new "Detroit Free Press" poll shows the Dem with a commanding 54-percent to Hoekstra's 33-percent support.

Stabenow is running for her third term.  She had the lead in all 13-polls taken in the state over the past two months.  In ten of those polls, she has lead by double-digits.
