KANSAS CITY (WLMI) Tigers ace Justin Verlander was shelled in his first All-Star Game start, as the National League shut-out the American League 8-0 in last night at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City.  Verlander was charged with the loss, giving up five runs on four hits while walking two and striking out two in his one inning of work.  The win gives the National League homefield advantage in the World Series for the third consecutive year.
