Some details have emerged about Godsmack frontman Sully Erna 's upcoming solo live DVD, Avalon Live , which will be released sometime this spring.  The DVD -- which was recorded on December 16, 2011 at The Wilbur Theatre in Boston -- features Erna performing songs from his debut solo album, Avalon .  On Thursday, Erna posted a message on his website , revealing that the DVD will be released as part of a limited edition box set in the spring, and as a standard single disc and 3D version in the fall.

The limited edition box set will include three DVDs -- Avalon Live , a documentary called Journey to Avalon and a behind-the-scenes documentary -- as well as two CDs, a book, T-shirt, guitar pick, poster, incense and a custom engraved metal box.  Only 5,000 copies will be available.

In other Godsmack news, the band is currently in the studio recording an EP of cover songs that will be released along with the band's first live album later this year.
