It seems as though U2 has been working on their new album for years, though their manager has said that they will release it at some point in 2013. Now, Bono has revealed that the album has a working title, which may or may not be a joke.
In a radio interview with Irish journalist Amanda Brunker , Bono said that he and the rest of U2 have been working in the studio, and are in "fine fettle." Speaking about the new album, Bono revealed, "Within the band, we've been calling it 10 Reasons to Exist , but I will tell you, we might have six of them."
Praising the band for their dedication to making the best music possible, Bono said, "There's no sense of entitlement with this band. They really want to make a record and until they do...they don't care if it take 10 years; they don't care if never happens again." As for what the new music sounds like, Bono joked, "We have some tunes that you can hear through very thick walls."
U2's last album, No Line on the Horizon , came out in 2009.
