The Black Crowes will return to the road, beginning their Lay Down with Number 13 world tour in March in the U.K. followed by a one-month U.S. trek beginning in April. Tickets go on sale Friday, January 11, at 10:13 a.m. local time on the band's website .
According to a press release , the tour kicks off March 24 in Manchester, England, followed by the American leg beginning April 2 in Port Chester, NY.
In addition, The Black Crowes will issue the vinyl edition of the live Wiser for the Time album on March 19. The four-record set will contain never-before-released versions of 26 songs recorded during five performances in New York City in 2010. Wiser for the Time also will be available as a digital download.
The Black Crowes also are offering a free mobile app as a Christmas gift to their fans that includes a free download of a live acoustic rendition of "Under a Mountain," which features the lyric "Down with Number 13." The studio version of the tune originally appeared on the 1996 CD Three Snakes and One Charm .
