LANSING (WKZO) -- Two Michigan children have died this year after contracting the flu. According to State health officials, the influenza virus claimed the lives of an infant from the southwest part of the state and a teenager from central Michigan.
As of December 20th, roughly 150 confirmed cases of the flu were reported in Michigan. That was up 63 cases from the previous week. In the state and across the country, a higher number of influenza cases are being reported for this time of year.
They says its still not too late to get a flu shot, with the worst of the season still ahead.
