DETROIT (WKZO) -- Republican National Committee finance chairman Ron Weiser, the former head of the Michigan Republican Party, is under intensifying political heat after some comments about Detroit.
Back in August, at a Tea Party event in Milford, Weiser said people who don't live in the Motor City shouldn't show up at polling locations without being armed. He added the political machines of former mayors Coleman Young and Kwame Kilpatrick used to bus people from precinct to precinct after getting them out of "pool halls and barber shops" to vote multiple times.
Democratic Party officials are calling the comments racist.
