Snyder will scrutinize bills passed in Michigan legislature

LANSING (WKZO) -- Michigan Governor Rick Snyder says he will take his time reviewing a number of laws passed by the legislature early Friday morning.

The focus will be on social issues the governor says were "not things we sought out".  The Republican controlled House and Senate passed new reforms concerning abortion in the state, an update to the state's concealed weapons law and a proof of citizenship law that Snyder previously vetoed.

Looking ahead to next year, Snyder says he wants to focus on the Education Achievement Authority which will help the state's lowest performing schools improve.
