Next to the 4th of July, the Ingham County Animal Shelter sees more animals brought in the week before Christmas than any other week of the year. Officials say at least a 50 percent spike. That's why the shelter is working to get every homeless pet adopted with a special event this Friday.   The shelter has adoption specials running the whole month of December.
