Governor Snyder booed in MSU commencement speech

EAST LANSING (WKZO) -- Governor Snyder spoke to graduates of Michigan State University at their commencement on Saturday, but the speech was not without detractors.

Roughly one-hundred people protested outside the Breslin Center, and the governor was both booed and cheered just before he spoke inside.  The picketers outside were upset with his signing last week of right-to-work legislation.

The governor, a University of Michigan graduate, cracked a joke to open his remarks about receiving an honorary doctorate of law degree from Michigan State, saying many people would have never thought he'd be a Spartan in any capacity.
