LANSING (WKZO) -- Lags in state drug testing is now affecting about a dozen drug cases across the state.  Kent County prosecutors say long delays in getting blood test results from the Michigan State Police Crime Laboratory in Lansing are causing prosecutors and judges to dismiss cases.

Michigan State Police say tests are now taking an average of eleven months.  The tests only took about three months on average just two or three years ago.
