A new home for the Red Wings is a step closer to becoming a reality.  Yesterday, the Michigan House approved legislation to help a Mike Ilitch owned company build a multi-use district near Comerica Park and the Fox Theatre.  The bill would allow Olympia Development to apply for nearly 13-million-dollars in Downtown Development Authority money to help pay for the 650-million-dollar project which would include a new arena for the Red Wings and retail, office and residential space.
