TEMPERANCE (WKZO) -- A Toledo woman accused of pocketing roughly 2.1-million dollars from a church in Temperance has pleaded guilty to the charges. On Friday, Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette announced that Sharon Broadway pleaded guilty to charges of Financial Institution Embezzlement and Racketeering from United Catholic Credit Union.
Authorities say that Broadway was able to conceal her crimes for years using a complex money laundering scheme. She is scheduled to be sentenced January 13th.
